Terry Candler B.Sc.(Hons) QTS, Diploma in Education

Terry spent twenty years as a Senior Engineer in the electronics industry before training to become a science teacher in 1999. He was promoted to Head of Teaching and Learning at Hylands School, which was a Specialist Science School.

He has also been instrumental in the development of the 'Stepping Stones' Adult Education programme.


Larry Sampson B.Sc.(Hons), P.G.C.E., M.R.I.C.

Senior Subject Officer (Maths Science and Technology), University of London Examinations and Assessment Council (1985-1995). Responsible for co-ordinating the introduction of GCSE Examinations and subsequently involved in the writing of the National Curriculum in Science and Technology. Responsible for the administration of GCSE and A Level Examinations in all Science and Technology Subjects including the delivery of appropriate Teacher training.

Director of Science and Mathematics, Hylands Specialist Science and Sixth Form College. (1999 - 2012). Responsible for the introduction of the 'Stepping Stones' Adult Education programme in conjunction with the Women Returners Network.
